It’s that time of the year

Here we go again. We do this activity every single year. And it’s necessary as well. We need to reflect to see what mistakes we made. We need to reflect to improve year after year. After all, that’s the way to live life — continuous progress.

My thoughts on 2022

I started 2022 with a bang. I was going well but somewhere in the middle, I lost. I just lost the discipline to keep going.

I felt like I massively underperformed. I could not reach my goals:

  1. I wanted to have more than 1000 followers, but I could get to only 750 followers.
  2. My monthly earnings fell below $30. My goal was to earn $100 each month in 2022.
  3. I could not write as many articles as I wanted.

Mistakes I made in 2022

I was not consistent enough

I could only write 110–120 articles in 2022, which is not enough to succeed as a writer on Medium.

As a beginner, I need to write almost every single day. I need to build my audience.

I let life happen to me
